Welcome to the Recollections of my Old Man!
Welcome to our New Zealand Photo Gallery!
Aotearoa is the Maori-language name for New Zealand. The name was originally used by Maori in reference only to the North Island, with the whole country being referred to as Aotearoa me Te Waipounamu – where Te Ika-a-Maui means North Island, and Te Waipounamu means South Island. In the pre-European era, Maori did not have a collective name for the two islands.
Old Man sends his apologies for he did not include any photos from North Island yet, but do come back soon and find additions and alterations.
In the mean time, explore the breathtaking landscapes, vibrant wildlife, and unique cultural moments captured through the lense of our photographer.
From the majestic peaks of the Southern Alps to fjords and sounds of the South, this collection shows the natural beauty and enchanting spirit of New Zealand. Dive in and let each photo transport you to the land of the long white cloud.
Enjoy your visual journey through this stunning country! Enjoy!
